VBeam®
in Baltimore, MD
Our Registered Laser Nurses provide treatment with VBeam® to patients in Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Annapolis and the surrounding areas of Maryland
What is VBeam®?
The VBeam® laser is a pulsed dye laser that targets uneven pigmentation and facial redness. The laser is gentle enough to provide results without the downtime and minimal side effects. VBeam® works by delivering a burst of light to the treatment area where it is absorbed by the visible redness and broken down to diminish its appearance for smoother, more even-toned skin.
Benefits of VBeam®
Those who choose VBeam® for their facial rejuvenation treatment can enjoy the following benefits:
- Less visible facial veins
- Improved redness
- Diminished appearance of port wine stains
- More even skin tones
Who is a Candidate for VBeam®?
Candidates for VBeam® are those who are bothered by facial redness and an uneven skin tone. VBeam® is noninvasive, allowing patients to achieve smoother, improved skin without downtime and minimal side effects. VBeam® can also be used to treat leg and facial veins, including spider veins.
How is VBeam® Performed?
Prior to treatment, the skin will be cleansed and you will be given eye protection. The treatment is relatively comfortable and a cooling mechanism is used to cool the skin. The laser handpiece will then be directed at the target area, delivering quick bursts to the skin. One treatment can deliver some results, but most patients require several treatment sessions.
Recovery and Results of VBeam®
After treatment with VBeam®, the skin may appear red and possibly mild swelling, similar to a mild sunburn. Discomfort typically goes away within a few hours. Sun exposure should be avoided between treatment and sunscreen should be worn whenever you are outdoors.
Many patients report visible improvements right away with reduced redness and tighter skin. These results will continue to improve after optimal treatment sessions.
