CHEMICAL PEELS allow your skin to shed the old layer and reveal a younger, more vibrant one underneath. In addition to removing dead skin cells, chemical peels use a chemical solution to remove unhealthy areas off of the outer layer of your epidermis to remove damaged skin cells regenerate healthy, glowing, youthful skin faster. Chemical peels are customizable to your needs allowing you to decide on a light chemical peel, medium chemical peel, or deep chemical peel.

Benefits of Chemical Peels

Treat Acne.

When your skin is inflamed, dead skin cells and excess oil can build up on the surface. It can lead to fatty acid build-up and bacterial skin infections on your face. Fatty acid build-up and bacterial infections can lead to more problems in the future. Chemical peels can help alleviate acne and prevent acne scars by removing all these dead skin cells and excess oil.

Radiant Skin Tone

As you get older, the brightness in your skin can fade on your face and neck, where there is more exposure to the sun. When sun damage occurs you can notice uneven skin tone from the sun exposure. A chemical peel can help give your sun damaged skin a more even-toned look by removing the outer layer of rough skin to reveal a new layer of bright, healthy skin.

Prevent Signs of Aging

As skin ages, wrinkles and sagging skin begin to appear on your face and body. A chemical peel can help reduce the appearance of these wrinkles by revealing new cells underneath. Chemical peels can remove the outer layer of dead skin cells that build up and make your face and blotchy skin look older than it should. The newly revealed cells can create a smoother and more lifted appearance without fine lines and wrinkles.

Eliminate Scars

Scars can appear on your skin due to aging or accidents such as burns or rashes. Severe acne can also leave long-lasting scars. A chemical peel can help fade the scar tissue and discoloration that appear by stimulating new skin cells to grow.

Improve Skin Elasticity.

Your skinโ€™s ability to bounce back and return to its normal state is affected as you age. Skin loses elasticity as it ages, making it more prone to wrinkles and sagging or droopiness on the face. A chemical peel can help your skin regain some of its elasticity so that you may see fewer creases or folds on the skin.

Lighten Age Spots & Discoloration

Hyperpigmentation caused by aging and sun damage can result in uneven skin tone and skin texture. It can be exhausting covering spots on a daily basis. Chemical peel treatment removes the top layer of skin, known as the epidermis, to get rid of hyperpigmentation spots without causing scarring. Chemical peels are very effective in eliminating dark spots or age spots.

Minimize Enlarged Pores

Are your pores a noticeable concern that you wish you could change? Chemical peels can reduce the appearance of enlarged pores. Removing the outer layer of skin can help the skin look healthier by removing damaged skin cells. Enlarged pores can appear smaller after a chemical peel.

Post Procedure

After a chemical peel your dermatologic surgeon will address the healing process. It is important to avoid unprotected sun exposure with the newly treated skin. Chemical peeling can result in sensitive skin immediately after. Multiple chemical peels may be performed after the skin heals. If you get a light chemical peel you can do so monthly. If you get medium peel or deep peel it is recommended that you wait four to six months between appointments.
